ART.AND… ‘A Winter Wander’

20th and 21st July

10am to 5pm

25 Muraban Rd, Dural

ART.AND… ‘A Winter Wander’

To be held over the third weekend in July, visitors are invited to follow the street signs and wander over to The Arthouse Pavilion Gallery in Dural to discover the beauty exhibited in art and nature during winter.
Come along and feast your eyes on a fabulous range of paintings using a vast range of mediums by Merilyn Chappel or exquisite jewellery masterpieces in gold or silver by Jill Davis. Dave Hayes will be exhibiting bold, outdoor sculptures in corten steel while Jim Green will have intricate metal birds made from recycled cutlery dotted throughout the gallery’s beautiful garden.
Our talented wood turner, Simon Begg, will have beautiful pieces on display and for purchase, including beautiful wooden wombats. You will also be able to sign up to one of his inspiring courses! Helen Ashley will be coming along for the first time with her gorgeous array of quirky ceramics and Trish Fraunfelter will have tables overflowing with fabulous hand printed linen and cotton textiles and homewares. If you are keen to organise a family portrait session, come along and meet the extremely talented and personable photographer, Clare Oliver, who will also have some of her framed, photographic masterpieces here to inspire you!
So, wander down through our lush garden and fallen autumn leaves to the gallery and enjoy the art along the way. There will be something for everyone!
Visitors can further explore the unique surrounding area in the Hills District – from picking fruit from local farms or discovering the Great North Walk created by our early settlers. For those merely interested in a leisurely winter outing, our area is home to numerous wonderful restaurants using local produce or picnic areas where you can enjoy a world away from the hustle and bustle of a big city, but within a half hour drive from the CBD!

This is a free event. Please click on the link below to register for free tickets.
